FAB fireworks online booking form for Saturday 12th November

Book here: online

Our friends up the road at Balfour (Friends at Balfour – FAB) will be holding their popular firework display on Saturday 12th November (doors open at 5pm for a 6:30 start).

They have kindly offered FODJ 150 advance tickets for the show, to sell at special prices of £4 (child), £5 (adult) and £17.50 (Family, 2+3). Prices on the gate are £5/£6/£20 so this is a great way to support FODJ and start the winter season with food, drink and a dazzling display!

To reserve your tickets just apply online here and pop the money in the red postbox by the school office. First come, first served, and when they’re gone – they’re gone (but you can still pay at the gate on the night…just a bit more!).

1. RESERVE YOUR PLACES by completing & submitting this online form. – Everyone in your party will need a ticket including Pre-Schoolers (FREE)

2. PAY FOR YOUR TICKETS by putting your cash or cheques (payable to FODJ) in a sealed envelope writing YOUR NAME & CHILD’s NAME/CLASS on the front (& HOW MANY TICKETS YOU ORDERED). Leave envelopes in the FODJ box at the school office.

FODJ Halloween discos MINDCRAFT ZOMBIES Friday 14th Oct – info for parents and kids…

Correction: drop off, pick up, volunteering is now all through the TOP GATE at the TOP PLAYGROUND.

FODJ would like to let the kids and parents know about arrangements for the Halloween Discos: This year it’s in the canteen and the Orange Room (Mr. Myers’ room near the loos) and a little photo booth in the tiny marquee awning alongside the canteen.

The children will all be safe and there will be no spaces for crazy running around, just crazy dancing!

There will be grown ups in high vis to help with name labels on and 5 teachers each session. And at any time any child can leave the disco in the canteen and go and chill in the film room where Mr Myers teaches.

There’s going to be popcorn, lots of nibbles, cakes, tattoos, films and photos, lots of minecraft stuff dangling from the ceiling and plenty of silly dancing and fun.

Volunteers for the Year 3/4 disco are requested to come at 5pm to the TOP GATE at the TOP PLAYGROUND.

Volunteers for the Year 5/6 disco are requested to come at 6.30pm to the TOP GATE at the TOP PLAYGROUND.

Drop off at the TOP GATE at the TOP PLAYGROUND.On arrival, you child will be expected to wait with their class (look out for the class signs!) until they are signed in. You are of course welcome to wait with your child until they enter the building.

Collect your child from the TOP GATE at the TOP PLAYGROUND. There will be helpers at the gate to ensure no child leaves unaccompanied.

Please email contact@fodjbrighton.org.uk with any questions.

Dropping off

Please note that drop off is in the middle playground (Grantham Road entrance). On arrival, your child will be expected to wait with their class (look out for the class signs!) until they are signed in. You are welcome to wait with your child until they enter the building. Please do not stay for the disco – if you want to see the disco then PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HELP! IT’S GREAT FUN! We need adult helpers!

Picking up

Please collect your child from the middle playground (Grantham Road entrance will be open). There will be helpers at the gate to ensure no child leaves unaccompanied. Please do ensure you are there to collect at the correct time as we always have some uncollected children at the end of events and have to contact parents.

Cinema Room

During the disco, we have a film running in one of the rooms as a quiet area. This will be a suitable PG rated cartoon – by buying a ticket, you are consenting to let your child watch this.

By buying a ticket, you are giving permission for your child to have their photograph taken in the photo booth. Copies only go to children featured in the photo. Photos of the events are also used on the secure school website and our FODJ noticeboards in school. Please let the office know if you do not wish your child to have their photo taken.

Behaviour Policy

The events are always great fun and the children are generally extremely well behaved! As always however, we have a zero tolerance policy for bad behaviour. Please make sure your child knows that if they misbehave, we will call you and you will have to collect them early from the office.
